New Locations!
We have moved!
We are undertaking some service relocations as we progress with our four-story expansion. The relocations will also free up space on the inpatient unit to provide more space for acute care medical inpatients.
We believe the changes will better serve you as we prepare to occupy the new spaces in our new state-of-the-art four-story expansion.
The relocations are as follows:
- General surgeons, Dr. Anoushfar and Dr. Coffman, are being relocated to join the Surgical Specialty Office Suite on the first floor of the hospital.
- Joyce Hebert, Gynecologist, is relocating to the General Surgery Office Suite on the Ground Floor of the hospital.
- The Oncology Clinic and third floor Oncology Treatment area have also relocated to the Ground Floor, formerly the General Surgery Office Suite.
- On the third floor, previously the Oncology Treatment area, will be converted to intensive care beds, should they be needed during the pandemic.
To make the transitions as seamless as possible for you, the staff for each of the services will be the same familiar faces and will continue to serve you in the new locations.
Oncology Clinic, Urology, or OB/GYN call (207) 834-8560 Orthopedics or General Surgery call (207) 834-8550
Thank you for your patience while we make these changes to enhance your patient experience.
COVID-19 Vaccination Call Center Q & A
What number should I call if I am interested in the COVID-19 vaccination?
Our call center went live on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. You can reach us by calling (207) 834-1512, Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
How soon is the vaccine going to be available to the public?
At this time, we are unsure of the exact date we will receive COVID-19 vaccinations for the public. As soon as they are available, we will be setting up clinics and contacting people who have signed up to receive the vaccinations.
Who is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination?
The State of Maine in conjunction with the CDC have issued recommendations on how to prioritize distribution of the COVID-19 vaccination. NMMC will follow those guidelines to the extent possible. More information about the guidelines is available at https://www.maine.gov/covid19/vaccines.
Can I get the COVID-19 vaccination at NMMC if I live out-of-state?
At this point, NMMC is organizing to offer vaccinations to people who have primary or seasonal residences in the communities of the St. John Valley. As we receive more vaccines, we will expand our area of service. In the meantime, if you live out of the St. John Valley region, then please contact your primary care provider or your local hospital to express your interest in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
Is the vaccination list first come, first served?
No. Regardless of what order we receive calls, NMMC will ask screening questions to enable us to follow CDC guidance on distributing the COVID-19 vaccine.
What if I am unable to get through to call center staff?
We are experiencing unprecedented call volumes. If you are unable to get through on the phone lines, then please leave a message and be assured that someone WILL call you back as soon as possible.
How long might it take for someone to contact me if I leave a message?
Due to unpredictable call volumes, we are unable to give an exact timeframe for you to receive a return call. Please be assured, we are working hard to return the messages as quickly as possible. We are even adding extra staff to assist us in reaching everyone in a timely manner.
Should I leave multiple messages to receive a call back sooner?
No. Please do not leave more than one message. If you have already left a message, then you are on a list to receive a return call. This may take some time and we appreciate your patience. Leaving multiple messages may delay the process.
How will I know when I am able to get the vaccination?
Once you are on the list, NMMC staff will contact you directly with details once vaccination clinics are scheduled.
Please stay tuned for more information on NMMC’s efforts to make the COVID-19 vaccine available to the public as soon as possible.
