FREE -The day long class is open to all expectant mothers and their partners. The interactive class covers what to expect during the third trimester, labor and delivery, pain management and relaxation techniques along with newborn care and feeding. A tour of the birthing unit will also be provided as part of the class.

Northern Maine Medical Center is partnering with the Aroostook Area Agency on Aging to offer Tai Chi for Arthritis -a FREE program for seniors designed to increase flexibility, strengthen muscles and improve cardiovascular fitness with the use of gentle movements of joints, muscles and tendons.

Rally in the Valley Winter Festival for Kids

ARE YOU READY TO RALLY?!

Fifth Annual Kids’ Winter Festival –Rally in the Valley

Kids of all ages are invited to attend this unique festival. The intention behind this event is to increase children’s interest in winter sports as a hobby that can be continued into    adulthood! Rally in the Valley was created to give all kids a chance to be successful so we’ve designed events where everyone will have a chance to shine. The purpose of the day is for kids to enjoy what winter sports has to offer!

Bone Builders Class

Northern Maine Medical Center is partnering with Aroostook RSVP to offer Bone Builders -a FREE exercise program designed to prevent and help reverse the effects of osteoporosis. Bone Builders is a fitness program for people age fifty and older that focuses on balance, strength training and has an educational component that includes such topics as fall prevention, osteoporosis and nutrition.

Participants must have physician approval before participating in the program.

Classes are held twice a week -registration is open for new participants
