Northern Maine Medical Center (NMMC) is pleased to announce two new members who will be joining NMMC’s Board of Trustees in the coming year. Norm Fournier, President of the Board of Trustees said “We are very pleased and fortunate that both Don and Dave have agreed to serve on the Board. Their expertise, energy and commitment to the residents of the area will be a tremendous asset to the Trustees as we deal with the demanding issues that we face in health care in the coming years.” NMMC Chief Executive Office, Peter Sirois echoed the sentiment and said, “We are very pleased to welcome two very talented individuals who are dedicated to doing the right thing for the communities we serve.” David Desjardins, resident of New Canada, and Donald Guimond, resident of Fort Kent, were nominated earlier this summer to fill two vacancies on the eleven member hospital Board.

Donald Guimond, Fort Kent Town Manager since 1993, has also accepted nomination to NMMC’s Board of Trustees. Prior to 1993, Guimond was employed as Fort Kent’s Planning and Economic Development Coordinator. He holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Norwich University, Northfield, Vermont.
