Please read prior to completing a Northern Maine Medical Center ‘Application for Employment’

Code of Conduct

Purpose:  To ensure we provide a high-quality medical service with friendly, compassionate and personal atmosphere for each patient, visitor and coworker. 

I will  be civil, courteous, professional, honest  and respectful in communications at all levels.
I will smile and greet each person I come in contact with, including co-workers.
I will answer the telephone using a warm, friendly tone, a time-of-day greeting, my name and department.
I will be positive about the organization in front of our customers at all times.
I will be committed to the mission and vision  of Northern Maine Medical Center. 
I will  demonstrate a positive attitude and create a positive work environment.
I will be cooperative and will not undermine others.
I will accept change in the spirit of good teamwork.
I will  refrain from, deflect and discourage gossip.
I will  treat everyone as my equal and recognize the contributions of others.
I will  approach everyone in a nonjudgmental manner.
I will  respect others’ opinions, even though I may not agree with them.
I will always be professional in demeanor and actions.
When I say I will do something, I will follow through to completion.
I will lead by example.
I will ensure a patient’s personal and private information is kept confidential at all times.
I will accompany patients and visitors who need help to their destination.
I will strive to do something special for a patient, visitor or co-worker every day.

I am aware that it is a condition of employment to receive a flu immunization in order to work at Northern Maine Medical Center. I agree to receive the flu immunization upon hire. If I have already received a current flu immunization, I will secure appropriate documentation to process as necessary paperwork to start work should a position be offered.

   I have read and acknowledge that I have the same beliefs and will comply with Northern Maine Medical Center's Code of Conduct and I understand I need to receive a flu immunization as condition of employment.
