The Northern Maine Medical Center Guild is a charitable group of community members who volunteer their time to support the work of NMMC and its affiliates. The focus of their fundraising efforts is to benefit the patients served by the organization by way of purchasing needed equipment and supplies in-line with the hospital’s mission to support high quality patient care.
Each year, through its numerous fundraising efforts, the NMMC Guild dedicates its time to raising thousands of dollars for priorities presented to them by the clinical and administrative personnel of NMMC.
The NMMC Guild also maintains a small Gift Shop in the main lobby of the hospital. Many items are available for purchase from hand knit hats for newborns to jewelry and special occasion cards.

Members of the NMMC Guild make countless valuable contributions to the hospital’s cause. Their constant and untiring fundraising efforts have benefited the patients of NMMC from the very beginning in the early 1950’s. These individuals not only contribute financially, but they also give the gift of time and creativity. Some of the heartfelt gestures they perform year round are: crafting holiday favors to brighten up the meal trays of hospitalized patients, donating a toy from the gift shop to each hospitalized child, providing daily newspapers for patients at Forest Hill and multiple hospital departments, making clothing available for patients coming to the ER and caroling during the Christmas holiday season to bring cheer to those who are ill and suffering.
