The philosophy of NMMC’s Medical Practices is to provide the best healthcare possible for all the communities we serve. We consider healthcare to include intervention in illness or trauma, prevention measures in the broadest sense, including education, and emphasis on promoting mental and physical well-being.

Our highly qualified medical staff maintains ongoing medical education to provide the best illness and trauma interventions. For preventive medicine, we provide routine prenatal, perinatal, and pediatric preventive measures and we recommend regular screening exams for our pediatric and adult patients. We utilize education to assist patients to understand their health conditions to be able to participate in making informed decisions about their health and their care.

Services under the umbrella of Medical Practices include: Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Surgical, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Gastrointestinal Health and Internal Medicine. Specialty Clinics include: Sleep Medicine, Cardiology, Pain Management, Podiatry, Urology and Rheumatology. Some of the services are offered both in Fort Kent and Madawaska.
